Overview
A mahjong game with an RPG element. Players move around a map beating monsters at mahjong. Mahjong Haouden: Kaiser's Quest ("Mahjong Overlord: Kaiser's Quest") is a mahjong game released exclusively for the PC Engine. The game features a handful of RPG heroes as they set out to remove the various monsters and villains that have taken over their kingdom. To defeat these monsters, the player must beat them in mahjong games. The player has three characters they can choose between initially, and more become available later.
